In our modern packaging plant, potatoes are gently cleaned with fresh, non-recycled water. Throughout the plant, we spot check for quality and consistency, making sure that each potato meets the Larsen Farms standard.

Next, our computerized system sorts and grades the potatoes by size and weight. At this point, any potatoes that don't meet our high fresh-pack standards are sent for processing in our dehydrating facility. Select potatoes are brought to the Larsen Farms dehydration plant for processing. This plant combines our years of experience with the most modern and efficient equipment. Here we've perfected our ability to bring out the taste and texture you expect.

Research
In today's kitchens, people are looking for convenient solutions that don't sacrifice taste or quality. We spend much of our time researching new ways to add value to our products, new ways to prepare and present them, and unique ways to set Larsen Farms dehydrated potatoes apart from the rest. Our research into value-added possibilities is constant and ongoing.

Processing
Once the potatoes arrive for dehydration, they are steam peeled and washed, inspected, and cut to 5/8" slabs to ensure consistency during the cooking process. The cooked potatoes are then mashed by pressure rollers and spread evenly across large drums so they dry uniformly. They are then reformed into flakes, shreds, slices, dices, or whatever shape meets your specifications.

Quality Control
Nobody tops Larsen Farms when it comes to pride in our dehydrated potato products. Our highly skilled and dedicated professionals test for quality, taste, and texture at 42 different checkpoints throughout our processing plant.
